The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 2nd match minute, Vae Victis!! was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luís Eduardo Mangueira to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Vae Victis!! booed when Psiu! was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristiano Schmidt didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 7th minute José Carlos de Salles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Munhoz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jerônimo Dantas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Tiago Gabriel Cabral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Filipe Catarinense kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. The supporters of Psiu! booed when Vae Victis!! was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Horácio Magalhães didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Psiu!'s Anderson Ortiz in the 15th minute got a chance for a shot 15th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Vae Victis!!'s Tiago Gabriel Cabral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Deilmison Robben in the 22nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Vae Victis!!'s Filipe Catarinense got a free kick in the 24th minute. After 29th play minutes Anderson Ortiz shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Tiago Gabriel Cabral and just under the crossbar into goal. Agron Elmasllari fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Munhoz having to interfere. 35 minutes into the match, Psiu!'s goal looked a bit too open when Agron Elmasllari came free, but José Munhoz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Anacleto Lluciano charged in rather forcefully in the 38th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Anacleto Lluciano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 42 minutes into the game, Dacian Măcriș lined in a short shot 1-1 behind a frustrated José Munhoz. Álvaro Braga kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. With a little luck, Psiu!'s José Munhoz got control of the ball when José Carlos de Salles tried to sneak it across the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dacian Măcriș to strike the kick off in the second half. This resulted in a 1-3 score and a disappointed Tiago Gabriel Cabral as he didn't even see the shot coming. José Munhoz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valentin Ţirpescu in the 74th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Psiu!'s Álvaro Braga got a free kick in the 77th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Álvaro Braga during the 78th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Psiu! getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Álvaro Braga hit a great ball. José Munhoz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emmanuel Gigliotti, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Emmanuel Gigliotti blasted a shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without José Munhoz having to make a save.
