Vae Victis!!'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Luiz Fernando Peixoto made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Agron Elmasllari sent off a good shot on target. Bezerros EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Clóvis Camargo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 47th minute of the match, Dacian Măcriș tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Luiz Fernando Peixoto saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Dacian Măcriș made the kick off in the second half. Cesinha Galvão kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. After 87 played minutes Vae Victis!! got a freekick which was hit by Délio Tasso. With splendid footwork Hélder Azevedo arrived in front of goal to shoot 1-3 by the left pole in the game's 88th minute. Hélder Azevedo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luiz Fernando Peixoto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fernandinho Mota, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. 2-3 became the score in the 96th minute when Emmanuel Gigliotti elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Bezerros EC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
