Alberto Cavalcante was out of position in the 11 minute of play, and Luiz Eduardo Nunes capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Luiz Eduardo Nunes really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. Betinho Ferreira received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Alberto Cavalcante came out and tried to block the shot, but Betinho Ferreira slotted it home off the left post making it 4-0 in the 13th minute. Guarei FC's Edgard Bezerra got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 20 minutes into the game, Betinho Ferreira cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Alberto Cavalcante was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 25th minute Valério Senna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armando Ruano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 27th minute, Kacper Burdalski ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alberto Cavalcante was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-0. Luiz Eduardo Nunes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alberto Cavalcante having to interfere. Armando Ruano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Armandinho das Neves in the 34th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Guarei FC's Betinho Ferreira slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Alberto Cavalcante. That made the score 7-0 after 37 minutes of play. 40 minutes into the match, Itanhum's goal looked a bit too open when Kacper Burdalski came free, but Alberto Cavalcante reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 41 minutes into the match, Luiz Eduardo Nunes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alberto Cavalcante. Itanhum's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luiz Eduardo Nunes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 8-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Valério Senna to make the kick off. The supporters of Guarei FC booed when Itanhum was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Celsinho Pernambucano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Guarei FC's Armando Ruano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Guarei FC from getting a goal against them. Alberto Cavalcante made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luiz Eduardo Nunes in the 70th minute of play. Guarei FC's Kléberson Paraíba was substituted for Luís Fernando Antunes. Guarei FC made a substitution. Kauan de Senna replaced Luiz Eduardo Nunes. After a defensive mix-up in Guarei FC's zone, Valério Senna stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Armando Ruano came out of the goal and Valério Senna tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 9-0 became the score in the 79th minute when Kacper Burdalski elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After having played for 87 minutes, Betinho Ferreira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Guarei FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Betinho Ferreira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 88th minute Kauan de Senna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alberto Cavalcante saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 91st match minute, Guarei FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gernando Leme to maneuver through the defense. Armando Ruano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valério Senna, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute.
