When Durvalino Castro fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Borussia Steel F.C's protests and gave Durvalino Castro a yellow card for diving instead. Jânio Gerber's late challenge caught a Borussia Steel F.C's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jânio Gerber helped the player get up and apologised. Jânio Gerber kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. 13 minutes into the match, Jânio Gerber notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Borussia Steel F.C's Eusébio Moreno. Eusébio Moreno was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. José Paulo da Silveira hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. In the 22nd minute Claudinho dos Santos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eusébio Moreno saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 24 minutes of play, Colômbia V.T's Jânio Gerber made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eusébio Moreno was left in no man's land by his defense there! Carlos Augusto Loureiro kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Eusébio Moreno came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by Colômbia V.T's Jânio Gerber. But to his dismay, Jânio Gerber quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. In the 30th minute, Willian Coelho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eusébio Moreno showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Paulo da Silveira, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Willian das Neves made in the 34th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Nicolas Recife. Eusébio Moreno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claudinho dos Santos in the 36th minute of play. The supporters of Borussia Steel F.C booed when Colômbia V.T was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nilton da Mata didn't get a good kick on the ball. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fausto Peres to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, Colômbia V.T's José Paulo da Silveira got a free kick in the 52nd minute. After some careless play in the Colômbia V.T defense, José Carlos Barbosa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Osvaldinho Souto. The Colômbia V.T fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Osvaldinho Souto should have stopped the shot. With a little luck, Borussia Steel F.C's Eusébio Moreno got control of the ball when José Paulo da Silveira tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Colômbia V.T fans' excitement grew in the 60th match minute when Colômbia V.T's José Paulo da Silveira looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-5 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The crowd rose to their feet as Colômbia V.T's José Paulo da Silveira slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Eusébio Moreno. That made the score 1-6 after 66 minutes of play. In the 70th minute, Jânio Gerber hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eusébio Moreno made an important save on a dangerous shot by José Paulo da Silveira in the 72nd minute. In the 73rd minute José Paulo da Silveira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eusébio Moreno saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 81st match minute, Colômbia V.T was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claudinho dos Santos to maneuver through the defense. 82 minutes into the match, Colômbia V.T's goal looked a bit too open when Nicolas Recife came free, but Osvaldinho Souto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 84th minute, Carlos Augusto Loureiro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Osvaldinho Souto was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-6. Claudinho dos Santos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute.
