Diamantino Magalhães breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 9 minutes into the match, Fluxo's goal looked a bit too open when Ronaldinho Teixeira came free, but Jarbas Gonçalves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jarbas Gonçalves made an important save on a dangerous shot by Roque Oliveiro in the 13th minute. After a rather tough play, Passa o Tanque MZ's Valdo de Barros got a free kick in the 14th minute. After 17 minutes, Bernd Goldsche made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Fluxo's Jarbas Gonçalves tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 21 minutes into the game, Kléber de Mendonça was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Fluxo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Passa o Tanque MZ the free kick. The supporters of Passa o Tanque MZ booed when Fluxo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kléber de Mendonça didn't get a good kick on the ball. Diamantino Magalhães didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eriberto Valadares went, in the 25th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. 29 minutes into the match, Romário Catarinense notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Passa o Tanque MZ's Diamantino Magalhães. Diamantino Magalhães was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Diamantino Magalhães took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kléber de Mendonça, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Romário Catarinense to strike the kick off in the second half. Passa o Tanque MZ's Diamantino Magalhães proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Passa o Tanque MZ from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Fluxo getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Jarl Sjöö hit a great ball. Fluxo's Jarbas Gonçalves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roque Oliveiro in the 60th minute of play. Eriberto Valadares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Diamantino Magalhães having to interfere. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 65th minute of the game. One of Fluxo:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Passa o Tanque MZ:s goal. 70 minutes into the match, Fluxo's goal looked a bit too open when Roque Oliveiro came free, but Jarbas Gonçalves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 72nd minute, Kléber de Mendonça ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Diamantino Magalhães was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-3. The corner ended in Paulo Cebo almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Passa o Tanque MZ's Diamantino Magalhães did a great save. After 77 minutes, Iratze Toxeiro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fluxo and the Passa o Tanque MZ players grew even worse after the yellow card. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Passa o Tanque MZ were victorious despite being under pressure from Fluxo for much of the match.
