But to his dismay, Geraldo Miranda quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Bernardo Magalhães made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulo Renato Valladares in the 12th minute of play. 16 minutes into the match, Red Bull Sumaré's goal looked a bit too open when Geraldo Miranda came free, but Bernardo Magalhães reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Red Bull Sumaré's Bernardo Magalhães played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Geraldo Miranda in the 17th minute of play. Bernardo Magalhães showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Geraldo Miranda, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Bernardo Magalhães stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Geraldo Miranda's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. Red Bull Sumaré's Bernardo Magalhães played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Josué Oliveira in the 36th minute of play. Nildo Braga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulo José Valladares in the 39th minute of play. In the 40th match minute, Red Bull Sumaré was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Isidro Serafo to maneuver through the defense. 43 minutes into the match, Red Bull Sumaré's goal looked a bit too open when Geraldo Miranda came free, but Bernardo Magalhães reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bernardo Magalhães showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Geraldo Miranda in the 44th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Tio Patinhas's Gil Vianna was substituted for Walmir Peres. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Geraldo Miranda stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Nildo Braga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulo José Valladares in the 54th minute of play. 56 minutes into the game, Evaristo Dracena threw the ball into play from the sideline. Red Bull Sumaré's Marcinho Santana quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. With a little luck, Red Bull Sumaré's Bernardo Magalhães got control of the ball when Geraldo Miranda tried to sneak it across the goal line. Teodoro Lemos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Nildo Braga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gil Vianna could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Bernardo Magalhães made a huge save. With a little luck, Red Bull Sumaré's Bernardo Magalhães got control of the ball when Gil Vianna tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Red Bull Sumaré fans' excitement grew in the 70th match minute when Red Bull Sumaré's Teodoro Lemos looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 76th minute, Josué Oliveira reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Bernardo Magalhães. The goal made the score 1-3. In the 83rd minute of the match, Gil Vianna got a very nice opportunity to score, but Bernardo Magalhães was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 84 minutes into the game, Paulo Renato Valladares recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Bernardo Magalhães. Paulo Renato Valladares showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-4. Tio Patinhas's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
