The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience thought a goal was coming when Roque Oliveiro got free with Napoleon Jakisz in the 2nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Ezequiel Toledo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 5th minute Ezequiel Toledo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Napoleon Jakisz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Faustão Carvalho in the 7th minute of play forced Passa o Tanque MZ's goalkeeper Cafu Xavier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roque Oliveiro in the 8th minute of play forced Flamengo's goalkeeper Napoleon Jakisz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Roque Oliveiro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but Napoleon Jakisz made a huge save. Flamengo's defense didn't have a chance, in the 20th minute, when Roque Oliveiro scored to the left of an out of position Napoleon Jakisz, making the score, 2-0. 22 minutes into the match, Guilherme Rauh dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Napoleon Jakisz, 3-0. 25 minutes into the match, Passa o Tanque MZ's goal looked a bit too open when Iuri Nogueira came free, but Cafu Xavier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Napoleon Jakisz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alessandro Sarmento in the 47th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Guilherme Rauh stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
