After a defensive mix-up in Receba Futebol Clube's zone, Dedé de Toledo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Evaristo Tavares came out of the goal and Dedé de Toledo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 23rdth minute of the game Dedé de Toledo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Receba Futebol Clube's Evaristo Tavares was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Dedé de Toledo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Evaristo Tavares was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. Evaristo Tavares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dedé de Toledo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. OS IMPOSSIVEIS's Nicky Williamson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Betão de Barros in the 28th minute of play. After 32 played minutes OS IMPOSSIVEIS got a freekick which was hit by Luisão Tasso. Antônio Faria blasted a shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nicky Williamson having to make a save. Nicky Williamson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Betão de Barros in the 38th minute of the match. When Antônio Faria fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Receba Futebol Clube's protests and gave Antônio Faria a yellow card for diving instead. Antônio Faria hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. If Antônio Faria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 47 minutes, Dedé de Toledo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. OS IMPOSSIVEIS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dedé de Toledo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Witold Gotfryd to strike the kick off in the second half. Dedé de Toledo's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Evaristo Tavares firmly grabbed it by the left post. A well-hit corner resulted in Tião Messias heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. The supporters of OS IMPOSSIVEIS booed when Receba Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dino Arósio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Witold Gotfryd recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 68 minutes into the match, Receba Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Evaristo Tavares had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dedé de Toledo. When OS IMPOSSIVEIS's Witold Gotfryd in the 69th minute got a chance for a shot 69th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. OS IMPOSSIVEIS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Betão de Barros was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Dedé de Toledo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Evaristo Tavares read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. Evaristo Tavares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dedé de Toledo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 89th minute, Witold Gotfryd got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Receba Futebol Clube's Evaristo Tavares proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save Receba Futebol Clube from getting a goal against them. Dedé de Toledo took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Evaristo Tavares. Evaristo Tavares dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. The OS IMPOSSIVEIS supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing OS IMPOSSIVEIS would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
