In the 2nd minute, Costin Colin made a precise shot to the right of Rubinho de Amaral. Real Cruzeiro FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. After a rather tough play, Mixto Esporte Clube's Clemente Peixoto got a free kick in the 5th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vivaldo Carmona got free with Rafael Dallris in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rafael Dallris showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Baltazar Zonta in the 7th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Real Cruzeiro FC's Baltazar Zonta slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Rafael Dallris. That made the score 1-1 after 9 minutes of play. After 14 minutes, Baltazar Zonta made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. Mixto Esporte Clube's Rafael Dallris tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Rubinho de Amaral showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jerry Dejonckheere in the 24th minute of the match. Jerry Dejonckheere recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Vivaldo Carmona did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 3-1 to the left of a surprised Rafael Dallris 31 minutes into the match. After 33 minutes, Vivaldo Carmona made it 4-1 with a short kick to the right side. Mixto Esporte Clube's Rafael Dallris tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. If Vivaldo Carmona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Real Cruzeiro FC's Vivaldo Carmona slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Rafael Dallris. That made the score 5-1 after 39 minutes of play. Vivaldo Carmona's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rafael Dallris read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. Júlio Arruda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rafael Dallris having to interfere. Vivaldo Carmona came free with the goalkeeper in the 47th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Rafael Dallris could save by the left post. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 5-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Vivaldo Carmona made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Mixto Esporte Clube's zone, Júlio Arruda stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rafael Dallris came out of the goal and Júlio Arruda tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rafael Dallris made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vivaldo Carmona in the 55th minute of play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 59th minute of the game. One of Real Cruzeiro FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Mixto Esporte Clube:s goal. Miguel Santos made in the 66th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Real Cruzeiro FC's Júlio Arruda. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nelson de Lima in the 68th minute of play forced Mixto Esporte Clube's goalkeeper Rafael Dallris to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Baltazar Zonta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rafael Dallris took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ronaldo Nazário De Lima, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rafael Dallris showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nelson de Lima, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. 79 minutes into the match, Real Cruzeiro FC's goalkeeper Rubinho de Amaral had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jerry Dejonckheere. Rubinho de Amaral made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Clemente Peixoto sent off a good shot on target. 84 minutes into the match, Mixto Esporte Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Nelson de Lima came free, but Rafael Dallris reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Real Cruzeiro FC's Ronaldo Nazário De Lima got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 93rd minute, Jerry Dejonckheere hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Baltazar Zonta struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Rafael Dallris didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Real Cruzeiro FC. Rafael Dallris took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baltazar Zonta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Arlindo Santos blasted a shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rubinho de Amaral having to make a save. Real Cruzeiro FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Mixto Esporte Clube for a fine match.
