After a rather tough play, Bahia City's Iuri Mattos got a free kick in the 11th minute. Keilor Navas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Téo Félix in the 13th minute of the match. Peter Cernan made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Jorge Chaves sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of LULU TRICOLOR booed when Bahia City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Donato Bezerra didn't get a good kick on the ball. Adilson Novaes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Peter Cernan having to interfere. In the 26th minute, Jorge Chaves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 27th minute István Borbély shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Keilor Navas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 31 minutes into the game, Geovani Loyola threw the ball into play from the sideline. LULU TRICOLOR's Kauã Mazza quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Keilor Navas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from István Borbély, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Peter Cernan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adilson Novaes in the 35th minute of play. István Borbély hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. After having played for 38 minutes, Geovani Loyola managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bahia City's supporters crossed their fingers, but Geovani Loyola was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by István Borbély in the 40th minute of play forced Bahia City's goalkeeper Keilor Navas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sidnei Paes charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sidnei Paes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 42 played minutes LULU TRICOLOR got a freekick which was hit by Sidnei Paes. LULU TRICOLOR's Téo Félix got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when István Borbély made the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Bahia City's goal looked a bit too open when Téo Félix came free, but Keilor Navas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 52 played minutes, LULU TRICOLOR's Kauã Mazza shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Keilor Navas came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in LULU TRICOLOR reached it. Keilor Navas made an important save on a dangerous shot by István Borbély in the 53rd minute. In the 55th match minute, LULU TRICOLOR was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Angelo Abreu to maneuver through the defense. In the 56th minute Adilson Novaes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Peter Cernan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the LULU TRICOLOR defense, Adilson Novaes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Peter Cernan. The LULU TRICOLOR fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Peter Cernan should have stopped the shot. LULU TRICOLOR's Carlos Fernando Faria was substituted for Alberto Albuquerque. István Borbélys short, quick shot in the 80thth minute got Keilor Navas to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The corner ended in Umut Usum almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Bahia City's Keilor Navas did a great save. Thanks to some nice moves István Borbély could shoot a difficult shot in the 83rd minute, which Keilor Navas however easily saved by the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when István Borbély got free with Keilor Navas in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Bahia City getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Geovani Loyola hit a great ball. István Borbély fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Keilor Navas having to interfere. In the 95th match minute, LULU TRICOLOR was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Angelo Abreu to maneuver through the defense. Peter Cernan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guilherme Madruga in the 96th minute of the match. Bahia City walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
