The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 6th minute Gilmar Lopez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antônio Cosme saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpected shot in the 7th minute by Abel Berger got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Antônio Cosme stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gilmar Lopez's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. After 10 minutes of play, Samagara Real - DMZ's Gilmar Lopez made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Antônio Cosme was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 15th minute there was a penalty for Samagara Real - DMZ. Enrique Paes stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Antônio Cosme. 3-0. Gilmar Lopezs short, quick shot in the 18thth minute got Antônio Cosme to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. A collision led to Lady Newton getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Luís Fábio Faria hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Paolo Diaz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Samagara Real - DMZ's supporters rose to their feet, but Paolo Diaz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Antônio Cosme breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Antônio Cosme made an important save on a dangerous shot by Roman Sanduru in the 24th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Lady Newton's zone, Gilmar Lopez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Antônio Cosme came out of the goal and Gilmar Lopez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Antônio Cosme made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Abel Berger sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Lady Newton getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Luís Fábio Faria hit a great ball. Gilmar Lopez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Antônio Cosme having to interfere. In the 35th minute, Deivid Matos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 37th minute, Gilmar Lopez left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Samagara Real - DMZ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. After some careless play in the Lady Newton defense, Gilmar Lopez kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Antônio Cosme. The Lady Newton fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Antônio Cosme should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Lady Newton booed when Samagara Real - DMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zhou Chen Yan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Roman Sanduru sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Antônio Cosme was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Gilmar Lopez showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 7-0 in the 47 minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 7-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gilmar Lopez stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When the match clock showed 53 minutes, the score became 8-0 when Gilmar Lopez sped through Lady Newton's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Antônio Cosme. After a rather tough play, Lady Newton's Tomé Lopez got a free kick in the 57th minute. In the 59th minute, Roman Sanduru ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Antônio Cosme was frozen by the shot and now it was 9-0. Zhou Chen Yan made in the 62nd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Luís Eduardo de Souza. 63 minutes into the game, Samagara Real - DMZ's Roman Sanduru nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Antônio Cosme made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 10-0. Antônio Cosme showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roman Sanduru in the 66th minute of the match. Gilmar Lopez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 72 minutes into the game, Afonsinho Furlan threw the ball into play from the sideline. Samagara Real - DMZ's Enrique Paes quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. When the match clock showed 73 minutes, the score became 11-0 when Roman Sanduru sped through Lady Newton's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Antônio Cosme. The ball had pretty good speed, but Celsinho Bueno firmly grabbed it by the left post. Antônio Cosme made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gilmar Lopez in the 93rd minute of play.
