After the first half Clube Esportivo Aimoré were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 52nd minute, Mané Travassos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Caetano Tróia during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, JotaPaTos's Caetano Tróia got a free kick in the 55th minute. 56 minutes into the game, Franklin Velasco cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Edu Motta was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Franklin Velasco showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-5 in the 86 minute of play. If Åke Sundberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 93 played minutes JotaPaTos got a freekick which was hit by Júnior das Neves. When the match was over Clube Esportivo Aimoré could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than JotaPaTos throughout the match.
