In the 13th minute, Umberto Martins sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Boca Juniors's Mathias Sabóia didn't even have to move. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Ronaldo Marques managed to get in a good position for a shot. Boca Juniors's supporters rose to their feet, but Ronaldo Marques was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ian Melo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Diogo Andrade charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Diogo Andrade the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 18 played minutes Xanda FC got a freekick which was hit by Diogo Andrade. In the 19th minute of the match Elano Guerra sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ian Melo skillfully saved the ball. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Xanda FC's goalkeeper Ian Melo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With an all-out effort, Boca Juniors's Ian Melo threw himself towards the right post 24 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Reinaldo Dante, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The corner led Boca Juniors's Elano Guerra to fire away a dangerous shot which Ian Melo despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Frank França who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 29thth minute tested the skills of Ian Melo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Reinaldo Dante's late challenge caught a Xanda FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Reinaldo Dante helped the player get up and apologised. Reinaldo Dante hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. In the 36th minute, Matías Guedes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mathias Sabóia was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. In the 39th minute Reinaldo Dante shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ian Melo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With splendid footwork Reinaldo Dante arrived in front of goal to shoot 2-1 by the left pole in the game's 39th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Norberto da Silva to make the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Matías Guedes got free with Mathias Sabóia in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ian Melo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reinaldo Dante in the 53rd minute of play. After 55 played minutes Xanda FC got a freekick which was hit by Matías Guedes. Xanda FC's Ian Melo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reinaldo Dante in the 58th minute of play. 61 minutes into the match, Xanda FC's goal looked a bit too open when Frank França came free, but Ian Melo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 62nd minute, Matías Guedes made a precise shot to the right of Mathias Sabóia. Boca Juniors's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. Mathias Sabóia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luiz Fernando Arce in the 65th minute of the match. Ian Melo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frank França, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Boca Juniors's zone, Norberto da Silva stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mathias Sabóia came out of the goal and Norberto da Silva tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 72 minutes into the match, Xanda FC's goal looked a bit too open when Reinaldo Dante came free, but Ian Melo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Boca Juniors's Elano Guerra managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Henrique Ramos in the 73 minute of the game. After 75 played minutes Boca Juniors got a freekick which was hit by Caio Pinheiro. Renato Mattos kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Reinaldo Dante in the 81st minute of play forced Xanda FC's goalkeeper Ian Melo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mathias Sabóia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matías Guedes, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Reinaldo Dante might have been able to make a better finish in the 85th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ian Melo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Reinaldo Dante ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 92nd minute, Ronaldo Marques hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Henrique Ramos's late challenge caught a Boca Juniors's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Henrique Ramos helped the player get up and apologised. In the 94th match minute, Xanda FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Henrique Ramos to maneuver through the defense. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
