Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Michel Agüero in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Raimundo Prestes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Jucuitiba getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Alfredão Gomes hit a great ball. Doriva Figueiredo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Adrianinho Cruz's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. Vermelho 23's Raimundo Prestes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfredão Gomes in the 25th minute of play. With an all-out effort, Jucuitiba's Raimundo Prestes threw himself towards the right post 28 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Alfredão Gomes, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Raimundo Prestes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Michel Agüero, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. In the 38th minute, Róbson Abreu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Jucuitiba's zone, Adrianinho Cruz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Doriva Figueiredo came out of the goal and Adrianinho Cruz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Vermelho 23's Bruninho Baiano got a free kick in the 45th minute.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Michel Agüero stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Vermelho 23 getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Claudinei Arce hit a great ball. 54 minutes into the game, Michel Agüero cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Raimundo Prestes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 58 played minutes Jucuitiba got a freekick which was hit by Ronaldo Nóbrega. Jonathan Galvão took the ball and in the 60 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Raimundo Prestes. Raimundo Prestes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. After 65 played minutes Jucuitiba got a freekick which was hit by Alfredão Gomes. Bruninho Baiano struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Doriva Figueiredo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vermelho 23. Raimundo Prestes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfredão Gomes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Adrianinho Cruz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but Doriva Figueiredo made a huge save. There was no doubt that Jucuitiba were the better team. Jucuitiba's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
