Augusto Lorencio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Iordache Ciupe was out of position in the 20 minute of play, and Reinaldo Dante capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Reinaldo Dante really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. With an all-out effort, Boca Juniors's Iordache Ciupe threw himself towards the right post 23 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Reinaldo Dante, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Frank França stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The Boca Juniors fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 7-0. Iordache Ciupe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frank França, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Iordache Ciupe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reinaldo Dante in the 95th minute of play. There was no doubt that Boca Juniors were the better team. Boca Juniors's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
