With a couple of smart ball manuevers Geraldo Fernandez in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Iordache Ciupe saved AllBlack from getting behind. AllBlack's Iordache Ciupe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sérgio Jacinto in the 24th minute of play. In the 26th minute, Christiano Ronaldo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Iordache Ciupe was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Iordache Ciupe came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by Engenheiros da Vila's Sérgio Jacinto. But to his dismay, Sérgio Jacinto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-5. After the first half Engenheiros da Vila were leading 1-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dedê Mota made a kick off. Iordache Ciupe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sérgio Jacinto in the 61st minute of play. Iordache Ciupe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Geraldo Fernandez, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. In the 63rd minute, Olívio Dantas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 68th minute Dedê Mota shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eriberto Queirós saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 71 minutes into the match, AllBlack's goal looked a bit too open when Ciriaco Ospin came free, but Iordache Ciupe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eriberto Queirós didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Augusto Lorencio went, in the 74th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-6 was the resulting score. Gernando Sarmento could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Iordache Ciupe made a huge save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Olívio Dantas in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eriberto Queirós prevented the ball from getting in the gole. AllBlack's Iordache Ciupe proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save AllBlack from getting a goal against them. The AllBlack fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Engenheiros da Vila were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
