With an all-out effort, E.C BAHIA's Túlio Peres threw himself towards the right post 14 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Hortêncio Mendonça, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Hortêncio Mendonça received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Túlio Peres tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Maurinho Couto didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Toni Kroos went, in the 17th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. E.C BAHIA's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lovat SS the free kick. After 25 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for E.C BAHIA! When Neymar Håland came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Lovat SS fans jumped to their feet.
