After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Ksawery Bielatowicz managed to get in a good position for a shot. E.C Vera Cruz's supporters rose to their feet, but Ksawery Bielatowicz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rogério Soberano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Hugo Wiarda fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored E.C Vera Cruz's protests and gave Hugo Wiarda a yellow card for diving instead. Hugo Wiarda hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match.
