Eurico Trevisan scored 0-1 in the 9th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Maurinho Couto, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 13 minutes into the match, Jaguaré FC's Eurico Trevisan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Maurinho Couto narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jaguaré FC's Kjell-Arne Tillman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hortêncio Mendonça in the 17th minute of play. Kjell-Arne Tillman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hortêncio Mendonça in the 18th minute of the match. Horácio Domingues received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Kjell-Arne Tillman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Maurinho Couto didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eurico Trevisan went, in the 28th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. The supporters of E.C BAHIA booed when Jaguaré FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eurico Trevisan didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 35 minutes of play, E.C BAHIA's Osmar Vides made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kjell-Arne Tillman was left in no man's land by his defense there! Lenílson Vargas hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. After 40 played minutes E.C BAHIA got a freekick which was hit by Osmar Vides. Giovani Nascimento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Maurinho Couto didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eurico Trevisan went, in the 44th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hortêncio Mendonça to strike the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, E.C BAHIA's Maurinho Couto got control of the ball when Giovani Nascimento tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Jaguaré FC getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Diogo Mendonça hit a great ball. After 60th play minutes Eurico Trevisan shot 1-4, a short shot which went by Maurinho Couto and just under the crossbar into goal. Maurinho Couto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eurico Trevisan, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Giovani Nascimento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maurinho Couto having to interfere. In the 66th minute Hortêncio Mendonça shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kjell-Arne Tillman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jaguaré FC's Kjell-Arne Tillman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hortêncio Mendonça in the 68th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Eurico Trevisan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jaguaré FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Eurico Trevisan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Maurinho Couto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Maurinho Couto made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Giovani Nascimento sent off a good shot on target. Chants of Jaguaré FC echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as E.C BAHIA had held the ball for most of the match.
