In the 5th minute, Eurico Trevisan made a precise shot to the right of Cristiano Petito. Vulcanos's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Túlio Arruda kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. In the 9th minute Eurico Trevisan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristiano Petito saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Samuel Chaves during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 13th minute, Samuel Chaves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kjell-Arne Tillman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Válbson Meirelles, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Cristiano Petito showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eurico Trevisan in the 17th minute of the match. After 22 minutes of play, Jaguaré FC's Eurico Trevisan made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cristiano Petito was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Eurico Trevisan in the 26th minute of play forced Vulcanos's goalkeeper Cristiano Petito to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 27th match minute, Jaguaré FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Diogo Mendonça to maneuver through the defense. Kjell-Arne Tillman made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mané Pimenta in the 30th minute. In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind Vulcanos's goalkeeper Cristiano Petito, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Kjell-Arne Tillman was a little too slow when Mané Pimenta got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 45th minute. The score was now 1-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eurico Trevisan to make the kick off. In the 51st match minute, Vulcanos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Válbson Meirelles to maneuver through the defense. 53 minutes into the match, Vulcanos's goalkeeper Cristiano Petito had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eurico Trevisan. 55 minutes into the match, Jaguaré FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mané Pimenta came free, but Kjell-Arne Tillman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Jaguaré FC getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Diogo Mendonça hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Mané Pimenta managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vulcanos's supporters rose to their feet, but Mané Pimenta was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kjell-Arne Tillman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 62ndth minute of the game Válbson Meirelles who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Jaguaré FC's Kjell-Arne Tillman was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 66 minutes into the match, Jaguaré FC's goal looked a bit too open when Válbson Meirelles came free, but Kjell-Arne Tillman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 68th minute, Válbson Meirelles ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kjell-Arne Tillman was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Cristiano Petito showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eurico Trevisan in the 75th minute of the match. Valério Meira hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Cristiano Petito made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Eurico Trevisan sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, Vulcanos's Cristiano Petito got control of the ball when Eurico Trevisan tried to sneak it across the goal line. Válbson Meirelles's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kjell-Arne Tillman read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Vulcanos players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
