If Cacá Braga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A collision led to E.C BAHIA getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Joélson Teles hit a great ball. Vitório Macedo kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. When Valdir Varela fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored E.C BAHIA's protests and gave Valdir Varela a yellow card for diving instead. In the 23rd minute, Valdir Varela hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Maurinho Couto didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cacá Braga went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. 32 minutes into the match, E.C BAHIA's goal looked a bit too open when Dagoberto Linhares came free, but Maurinho Couto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Maurinho Couto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cacá Braga, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Maurinho Couto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dagoberto Linhares in the 37th minute of the match. Maurinho Couto didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cacá Braga went, in the 39th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. In the 43rd match minute, RED-STAR was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cacá Braga to maneuver through the defense. The E.C BAHIA players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. RED-STAR were winning 0-4.

The wind increased when Marcus Azevedo made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the game, Cipriano do Vale cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. Maurinho Couto was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 60th minute, Joélson Teles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Dagoberto Linhares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dagoberto Linhares scored 0-6 in the 64th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Maurinho Couto, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Maurinho Couto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cacá Braga's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. When the match had gone on for 68 minutes, Malcolm Carlsson took a quick shot and it went in 0-7 without a chance for Maurinho Couto to make any attempt to save it. Dagoberto Linhares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maurinho Couto having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cacá Braga in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Maurinho Couto saved E.C BAHIA from getting behind. In the 75th minute, RED-STAR's Malcolm Carlsson ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Maurinho Couto. Maurinho Couto yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-8. The supporters of E.C BAHIA booed when RED-STAR was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Augusto Arce didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, E.C BAHIA's Luan Varela tried to score from far away in the 79th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. 80 minutes into the match, RED-STAR's goal looked a bit too open when Marcus Azevedo came free, but Iwan Wojtyna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Maurinho Couto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cacá Braga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as RED-STAR's Dagoberto Linhares slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Maurinho Couto. That made the score 0-9 after 83 minutes of play. E.C BAHIA's defense didn't have a chance, in the 91st minute, when Cacá Braga scored to the left of an out of position Maurinho Couto, making the score, 0-10. The E.C BAHIA supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching RED-STAR's performance. The match ended with a win for RED-STAR.
