The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The tension between the Vulcanos and the FC Schalke 04 players grew even worse after the yellow card. Cristiano Petito came out of the goal and Tiburcio Iago tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lúcio Simões made an important save on a dangerous shot by Válbson Meirelles in the 57th minute. The audience was convinced that Tiburcio Iago's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cristiano Petito was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. 62 minutes into the game, Fe De cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. For all the effort they put into the match, the Vulcanos players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for FC Schalke 04.
