In the 8th minute, Vito Mendes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 14 minutes into the match, Guarulhas's goal looked a bit too open when Sandrinho Loyola came free, but Bret Harper reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristián Gabi struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Bret Harper didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CABRAMACABRA. With a little luck, Guarulhas's Bret Harper got control of the ball when Fu Hong tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience was convinced that Sandrinho Loyola's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bret Harper was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fu Hong got free with Bret Harper in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 27th play minutes Fu Hong shot 2-0, a short shot which went by Bret Harper and just under the crossbar into goal. Fu Hongs short, quick shot in the 34thth minute got Bret Harper to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 37 minutes into the match, Guarulhas's goalkeeper Bret Harper had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fu Hong. With his leg Bret Harper managed to avoid a goal in the 40thth minute, when CABRAMACABRA's Fu Hong fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Bret Harper made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fu Hong in the 41st minute. Bret Harper was a little too slow when Cristián Gabi got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 43rd minute. The score was now 3-0. If Fu Hong had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee felt a red card was in order, 47 minutes into the game, when Gino Vargas put in a rough tackle. After 48 played minutes CABRAMACABRA got a freekick which was hit by Gino Vargas. After some fancy dribbling in the 49th minute, Marcel Baiano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Guarulhas's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcel Baiano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Randall Rodríguez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

After 58 minutes Guarulhas's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Sandrinho Loyola who took care of the corner kick. CABRAMACABRA's Wambasther Suárez was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Bret Harper in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Guarulhas's Bret Harper played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristián Gabi in the 59th minute of play. Cristián Gabi hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Cristián Gabi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Bret Harper tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 66th minute, Sandrinho Loyola made a precise shot to the right of Bret Harper. Guarulhas's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. After some careless play in the Guarulhas defense, Cristián Gabi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bret Harper. The Guarulhas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bret Harper should have stopped the shot. Geovani Domingues received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Bret Harper tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. CABRAMACABRA's Sandrinho Loyola got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 75th minute, Alfons Naranjo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The throw-in from Téo Almeida in the 78th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by CABRAMACABRA's Geovani Domingues. Cristián Gabi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Bret Harper tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vitório de Azevedo during the 83rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 82nd minute of the game. One of Guarulhas:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of CABRAMACABRA:s goal. In the 84th minute there was a penalty for CABRAMACABRA. Sandrinho Loyola stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Bret Harper. 6-0. Remo Mineiro got a throw-in 97 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Luiz Fábio Mendonça. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. CABRAMACABRA fully deserved thier win.
