The throw-in from Ronaldo Camargo in the 3rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by CABRAMACABRA's Glauco Souza. After some careless play in the Phoenix Fc defense, Glauco Souza kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luís Fábio Bezerra. The Phoenix Fc fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luís Fábio Bezerra should have stopped the shot. Luís Fábio Bezerra stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fu Hong's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. After 15 minutes, Afonsinho Costa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Phoenix Fc and the CABRAMACABRA players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Phoenix Fc getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Afonsinho Costa hit a great ball. After 16 minutes of play, CABRAMACABRA's Cristián Gabi made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Luís Fábio Bezerra was left in no man's land by his defense there! Phoenix Fc's Luís Fábio Bezerra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristián Gabi in the 18th minute of play. 20 minutes into the match, Phoenix Fc's goal looked a bit too open when Fu Hong came free, but Luís Fábio Bezerra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristián Gabi in the 24th minute of play forced Phoenix Fc's goalkeeper Luís Fábio Bezerra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 27th minute, Fu Hong ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Luís Fábio Bezerra was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-6. Luís Fábio Bezerra came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by CABRAMACABRA's Fu Hong. But to his dismay, Fu Hong quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-7. The supporters of CABRAMACABRA booed when Phoenix Fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Afonsinho Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball. 37 minutes into the game, Osvaldo Pitta was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Phoenix Fc's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CABRAMACABRA the free kick. After 36 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Phoenix Fc! Sandrinho Loyola shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. In the 42nd minute, Fu Hong left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The CABRAMACABRA fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-8. Cristián Gabi kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. Disappointed in the 0-8 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the match clock showed 53 minutes, the score became 0-9 when Cristián Gabi sped through Phoenix Fc's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Luís Fábio Bezerra. 56 minutes into the match, CABRAMACABRA's goal looked a bit too open when Haroldo Brito came free, but Randall Rodríguez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Phoenix Fc defense, Glauco Souza kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luís Fábio Bezerra. The Phoenix Fc fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luís Fábio Bezerra should have stopped the shot. In the 60th minute, Ronaldo Camargo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 61st minute of the match Sandrinho Loyola shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Luís Fábio Bezerra showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 63rd minute, Cristián Gabi reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Luís Fábio Bezerra. The goal made the score 0-11. With an all-out effort, CABRAMACABRA's Luís Fábio Bezerra threw himself towards the right post 65 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Cristián Gabi, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. CABRAMACABRA's Fu Hong was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 72nd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Phoenix Fc's zone, Wambasther Suárez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luís Fábio Bezerra came out of the goal and Wambasther Suárez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match had gone on for 83 minutes, Cristián Gabi took a quick shot and it went in 0-14 without a chance for Luís Fábio Bezerra to make any attempt to save it. In the 89th minute Cristián Gabi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luís Fábio Bezerra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fu Hong's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 92ndth minute, Luís Fábio Bezerra skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Adhemar Teles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Randall Rodríguez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. CABRAMACABRA's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
