Spectators: 5720 (Terracing: 4500, Seating: 1200, VIP seats: 20) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. César Soberano started the match with the kick off. After 2 played minutes Guarulhas got a freekick which was hit by Remo Mineiro. Bath Rowden kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. When Remo Mineiro fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Guarulhas's protests and gave Remo Mineiro a yellow card for diving instead. Remo Mineiro hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by César Soberano in the 16th minute of play forced Guarulhas's goalkeeper Bret Harper to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bret Harper showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fernandinho Simão in the 17th minute of the match. Bath Rowden hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. In the 27th minute Fernandinho Simão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bret Harper saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Guarulhas booed when Tosta Neto F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bath Rowden didn't get a good kick on the ball. 30 minutes into the match, Tosta Neto F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Luiz Fábio Mendonça came free, but Dráuzio Azevedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Guarulhas's Remo Mineiro got a free kick in the 33rd minute. In the 34th minute, César Soberano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bret Harper was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 38th minute César Soberano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bret Harper saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dráuzio Azevedo made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Marcel Baiano sent off a good shot on target. Marcel Baiano received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Dráuzio Azevedo came out and tried to block the shot, but Marcel Baiano slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 44th minute. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marcel Baiano stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when César Soberano got free with Bret Harper in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 53rd minute of the match Tosta Neto F.C got a corner. Guarulhas's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Zenaido Obaldia ran over to the corner to take the kick. Zenaido Obaldia made a great header on Tosta Neto F.C's corner, it was just that Guarulhas's Bret Harper managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 55th minute, Tiaguinho Reis made a precise shot to the right of Dráuzio Azevedo. Tosta Neto F.C's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. If Fernandinho Simão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bret Harper stood somewhat misplaced when César Soberano came free in front of goal and shot 2-2 to the left of him in the 62 minute. In the 67th minute, Luiz Fábio Mendonça left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Guarulhas fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. In the 71st minute, Marcel Baiano made a precise shot to the right of Dráuzio Azevedo. Tosta Neto F.C's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-2. Dráuzio Azevedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcel Baiano in the 81st minute of play. In the 90th match minute, Tosta Neto F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zenaido Obaldia to maneuver through the defense. After 92 played minutes, Guarulhas's Hudson Queirós shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Dráuzio Azevedo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Guarulhas reached it. Guarulhas's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
