CABRAMACABRA's Cristián Gabi got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 13 played minutes CABRAMACABRA got a freekick which was hit by Sandrinho Loyola. The long shot by Aírton de Senna in the 14th minute really tested Randall Rodríguez's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristián Gabi in the 17th minute of play forced Tupacyguara's goalkeeper Jeferson Toledo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Fu Hong had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Gino Vargas fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CABRAMACABRA's protests and gave Gino Vargas a yellow card for diving instead. Gino Vargas hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. After 22 played minutes, Tupacyguara's Aírton de Senna shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Randall Rodríguez came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Tupacyguara reached it. Tupacyguara's Jeferson Toledo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fu Hong in the 24th minute of play. After 25 minutes Tupacyguara's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Sandrinho Loyola who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on CABRAMACABRA's corner Fu Hong fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jeferson Toledo quite easily take care of the ball. Tarcisio Neves recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jeferson Toledo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. CABRAMACABRA's Glauco Souza quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Adrianinho Massa, made in the 41st minute of the game. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tarcisio Neves to make the kick off. Lorenzo Kellogg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. After a defensive mix-up in Tupacyguara's zone, Cristián Gabi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jeferson Toledo came out of the goal and Cristián Gabi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fu Hong succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-2 in the 65th playminute. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Cristián Gabi managed to get in a good position for a shot. CABRAMACABRA's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristián Gabi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jeferson Toledo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, Tupacyguara's Jeferson Toledo got control of the ball when Fu Hong tried to sneak it across the goal line.
