Douglas Cearense ran back to his position shaking his head. Sílvio Luiz Ramalho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frédson de Lara in the 17th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Triplo Malte F.C.'s Pedro Luiz Matorin got a free kick in the 19th minute. If Douglas Cearense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sílvio Luiz Ramalho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Douglas Cearense in the 22nd minute of the match. In the 27th minute César Soberano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sílvio Luiz Ramalho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The throw-in from Fernandinho Simão in the 36th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Triplo Malte F.C.'s Evandro Perez. Sílvio Luiz Ramalho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bruno Baptista, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Triplo Malte F.C. defense, Douglas Cearense kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sílvio Luiz Ramalho. The Triplo Malte F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sílvio Luiz Ramalho should have stopped the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Douglas Cearense made the kick off in the second half. Evandro Perez lost his temper 51 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 51 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Triplo Malte F.C.! Triplo Malte F.C.'s Sílvio Luiz Ramalho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vítor Garcia in the 57th minute of play. Sílvio Luiz Ramalho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Douglas Cearense, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Zé Pedro Nóbrega's late challenge caught a Tosta Neto F.C's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tosta Neto F.C's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Triplo Malte F.C. the free kick. Vítor Garcia hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Triplo Malte F.C.'s attentive Luiz Paulo Alcântara managed to snatch the ball when Fernandinho Simão made a throw-in in the 83rd minute of the game. Tosta Neto F.C had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
