Quandus's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Corti the free kick. After 6 played minutes Quandus got a freekick which was hit by Leopoldo França. The crowd rose to their feet as Corti's Edmílson Gaspar slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of José Maria Teles. That made the score 1-0 after 7 minutes of play. Leopoldo Dantas scored 2-0 in the 12th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of José Maria Teles, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. José Maria Teles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leopoldo Dantas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Ramón Campidelis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Quandus's supporters rose to their feet, but Ramón Campidelis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ulisses Souza breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. José Maria Teles made an important save on a dangerous shot by Adriano Leite in the 20th minute. José Maria Teles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Angelo Loyola, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Albertinho Pinho hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Angelo Loyola got free with José Maria Teles in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Angelo Loyola showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 5-0. If Adriano Leite had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 40 minutes into the game, Ali Emir Ayık cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. José Maria Teles was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 45th minute, Adriano Leite made a precise shot to the right of José Maria Teles. Quandus's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Adriano Leite to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Quandus's goal looked a bit too open when Leopoldo Dantas came free, but José Maria Teles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Válter Eger hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Quandus defense, Edmílson Gaspar kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of José Maria Teles. The Quandus fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that José Maria Teles should have stopped the shot. In the 62nd minute, Leopoldo Dantas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Corti fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 9-0. José Maria Teles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edmílson Gaspar in the 64th minute of the match. After having played for 65 minutes, Ali Emir Ayık managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Corti's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ali Emir Ayık was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. José Maria Teles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Olavo Cavalcante, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. In the 69th minute Leopoldo Dantas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Maria Teles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Quandus defense, Angelo Loyola kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of José Maria Teles. The Quandus fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that José Maria Teles should have stopped the shot. Angelo Loyola scored 12-0 in the 81st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of José Maria Teles, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
