Atlético-MG's defense didn't have a chance, in the 73rd minute, when Richard Lopes scored to the left of an out of position Amos Nero, making the score, 2-3. From a short distance, Spanta Praga's Bruninho Zanette, in the 83rd minute, tried to place the ball behind Amos Nero, but the ball hit the right post on the wrong side and went out. Atlético-MG's Amos Nero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bruninho Zanette in the 85th minute of play. After 86 played minutes Atlético-MG got a freekick which was hit by Juan Soeiro. In the 87th minute, Bruninho Zanette got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Robinho Arce hit a great ball. In the 96th match minute, Atlético-MG was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luiz Coelho to maneuver through the defense. The Spanta Praga fans' excitement grew in the 97th match minute when Spanta Praga's Luís Guilherme Ortiz looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-5 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene.
