A well-hit corner resulted in Manoel Couto heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. In the 10th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sete de setembro's goalkeeper Zé Gerber, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. César Moraes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match clock showed 14 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Tage Backlund sped through Sete de setembro's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Zé Gerber. Sete de setembro's Zé Gerber played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tage Backlund in the 17th minute of play. Rony Zanette made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Charles Sá in the 23rd minute of play. A collision led to Sete de setembro getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Joélson Neiva hit a great ball. Zé Gerber showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from César Moraes, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. 38 minutes into the game, Xiboquinha FC's César Moraes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Zé Gerber made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. 42 minutes into the match, César Moraes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Zé Gerber. Sete de setembro's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that César Moraes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. After the first half Xiboquinha FC were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Zé Gerber made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when César Moraes sent off a good shot on target. Charles Sá hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. In the 58th match minute, Sete de setembro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Charles Sá to maneuver through the defense. Zé Gerber didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 62nd minute, which inside left pole to 0-5. In the 69th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sete de setembro's goalkeeper Zé Gerber, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Cesinha Ceresso kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. In the 80th minute, Charles Sá hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Xiboquinha FC getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Luís Guilherme Zanette hit a great ball. In the 87th minute, Xiboquinha FC's Tage Backlund ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Zé Gerber. Zé Gerber yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-6. In the 93rd minute, César Moraes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 95 minutes into the match, Tage Backlund dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Zé Gerber, 0-7. Zé Gerber didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tage Backlund went, in the 98th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-8 was the resulting score. When the match was over Xiboquinha FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Sete de setembro throughout the match.
