With a little luck, Loud Academy FC's Jerônimo Ortiz got control of the ball when Juan Soeiro tried to sneak it across the goal line. Iuri Mota hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. In the 17th minute, Sydney Antunes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Sydney Antunes kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jerônimo Ortiz. That made the score 2-0 in the 18 minute of play. Jerônimo Ortiz was a little too slow when Juan Soeiro got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 21st minute. The score was now 3-0. Adelino Perez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jerônimo Ortiz having to interfere. Jerônimo Ortiz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sydney Antunes in the 26th minute of play. Fernandinho Martins kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Luiz Coelho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Jerônimo Ortiz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sydney Antunes took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jerônimo Ortiz. Amos Nero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abel Leme in the 36th minute of play. Sydney Antunes scored 5-0 in the 40th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jerônimo Ortiz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Sydney Antunes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 5-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Wanderson Simão made a kick off. 56 minutes into the game, Atlético-MG's Juan Soeiro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jerônimo Ortiz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. Sydney Antunes took the ball and in the 63 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jerônimo Ortiz. Jerônimo Ortiz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-0. Jerônimo Ortiz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sydney Antunes, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Through an outstanding action, after 68 minutes, Amos Nero successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Loud Academy FC's Jerônimo Ortiz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sydney Antunes in the 71st minute of play. In the 72nd minute, Sydney Antunes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jerônimo Ortiz was frozen by the shot and now it was 8-0. After a rather tough play, Atlético-MG's Edvaldo Secco got a free kick in the 75th minute. Jerônimo Ortiz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sydney Antunes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 82 minutes into the match, Atlético-MG's goal looked a bit too open when Wanderson Simão came free, but Amos Nero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Inocencio Bertin made in the 84th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Vasily Yaskovich however managed to control. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wanderson Simão in the 85th minute of play forced Atlético-MG's goalkeeper Amos Nero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Abel Leme who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 88thth minute tested the skills of Amos Nero when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 93 minutes, Luiz Coelho mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Atlético-MG and the Loud Academy FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Loud Academy FC booed when Atlético-MG was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luiz Coelho didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 95th minute of the match, Wanderson Simão tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Amos Nero saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Atlético-MG's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
