Jacob Preuss blasted a shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tiago Godoi having to make a save. In the 40th minute Jacob Preuss shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tiago Godoi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 41 played minutes São Paulo F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Geovani Coutinho. Santiago Ascacíbar took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 42nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Tiago Godoi. São Paulo F.C.'s goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Vito Travassos made the kick off in the second half. Jacob Preuss could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Tiago Godoi made a huge save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luís Guilherme Zanette during the 90th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Xiboquinha FC getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Luís Guilherme Zanette hit a great ball. If Vito Travassos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
