In the 2nd minute Lando Norin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eliézer Pena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eliézer Pena didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tato Vega went, in the 4th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. When Que se abra o mar's Tato Vega in the 9th minute got a chance for a shot 9th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Caraguatei's goalie prevented a goal. Eliézer Pena made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tato Vega in the 11th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Albertinho Andrade's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eliézer Pena was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. When the match had gone on for 16 minutes, Tato Vega put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Eliézer Pena. The Que se abra o mar fans' excitement grew in the 23rd match minute when Que se abra o mar's Hayrullah Atikoğlu looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When the match clock showed 29 minutes, the score became 0-5 when Tato Vega sped through Caraguatei's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Eliézer Pena. 33 minutes into the match, Caraguatei's goal looked a bit too open when Tato Vega came free, but Eliézer Pena reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tato Vega's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eliézer Pena read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. When the match clock showed 38 minutes, the score became 0-6 when Tato Vega sped through Caraguatei's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Eliézer Pena. In the 43rd minute, Ivar Eriksson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eliézer Pena was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-7. Eliézer Pena didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lando Norin went, in the 47th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-8 was the resulting score.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jaime de Queiroz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the game, Que se abra o mar's Tato Vega nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Eliézer Pena made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-9. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Albertinho Andrade in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eliézer Pena prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Caraguatei's Eliézer Pena proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save Caraguatei from getting a goal against them. Tato Vega had several of the Caraguatei's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 60 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-10 score and a disappointed Eliézer Pena as he didn't even see the shot coming. 63 minutes into the game, Albertinho Andrade recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Eliézer Pena. Albertinho Andrade showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-11. An unexpected shot in the 67th minute by Loco Orange got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 70 minutes into the game, Loco Orange lined in a short shot 0-12 behind a frustrated Eliézer Pena. Que se abra o mar made a substitution. Tommy Van Elsen replaced Albertinho Andrade. Lando Norin was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 75th minute. Que se abra o mar's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Isaltino Pontes charged in rather forcefully in the 78th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Isaltino Pontes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Que se abra o mar booed when Caraguatei was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isaltino Pontes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eliézer Pena took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lando Norin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Loco Orange sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Loco Orange came free with the goalkeeper in the 85th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Eliézer Pena could save by the left post. After 86 minutes of play, Que se abra o mar's Ivar Eriksson made it 0-13 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eliézer Pena was left in no man's land by his defense there! 89 minutes in the game, Lando Norin fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Eliézer Pena having to interfere. Tommy Van Elsen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Eliézer Pena made a huge save. 91 minutes into the game, Loco Orange cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-14. Eliézer Pena was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Que se abra o mar played a much better game than Caraguatei and deserved their victory. The Caraguatei players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
