The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Edgar Sena to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 90th minute, Álvaro Paiva got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Norberto das Neves made an important save on a dangerous shot by Giovanni Cavalcante in the 92nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lino Mineiro in the 93rd minute of play forced Lakers FC's goalkeeper Paulão Corrêa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
