Ivar Eriksson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Flávio Meira having to make a save. Avanti PALESTRA's Flávio Meira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save Avanti PALESTRA from getting a goal against them. Flávio Meira made a fantastic save in the 4th minute, when Tato Vega sent off a good shot on target. Lando Norin received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Flávio Meira came out and tried to block the shot, but Lando Norin slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 6th minute. Flávio Meira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tato Vega in the 9th minute of play. Tato Vega's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 11thth minute, Flávio Meira skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Flávio Meira was a little too slow when Tato Vega got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 15th minute. The score was now 2-0. Que se abra o mar were awarded a corner in the 19th minute after Avanti PALESTRA's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Lando Norin took the corner. A well-hit corner resulted in Tato Vega heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Tato Vega blasted a shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Flávio Meira having to make a save. 26 minutes into the match, Avanti PALESTRA's goalkeeper Flávio Meira had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tato Vega. If Tato Vega had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Avanti PALESTRA's Flávio Meira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Avanti PALESTRA from getting a goal against them. Baltazar Botelho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Flávio Meira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 41st minute, Tato Vega left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Que se abra o mar fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. After a rather tough play, Avanti PALESTRA's Norberto Matos got a free kick in the 45th minute. Lando Norin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ismael Cosme made a kick off. In the 51st minute, Antônio Carlos Munhoz reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Sandro Tepedino. The goal made the score 3-1. Tato Vega received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Flávio Meira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Avanti PALESTRA defense, Tato Vega kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Flávio Meira. The Avanti PALESTRA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Flávio Meira should have stopped the shot. In the 61st match minute, Que se abra o mar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lando Norin to maneuver through the defense. Lando Norin kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Flávio Meira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Loco Orange in the 65th minute of the match. Que se abra o mar's Loco Orange got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 71st minute, Loco Orange made a precise shot to the right of Flávio Meira. Avanti PALESTRA's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-1. After having played for 74 minutes, Lando Norin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Que se abra o mar's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lando Norin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 75th minute, Loco Orange left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Que se abra o mar fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 7-1. Loco Orange recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lando Norin took the ball and in the 84 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Flávio Meira. Flávio Meira dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 9-1. Flávio Meira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Loco Orange in the 88th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Loco Orange's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Flávio Meira was relentless in the 89th minute of the game. Flávio Meira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lando Norin, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. In the 93rd minute, Lando Norin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Que se abra o mar fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 10-1. There was no doubt that Que se abra o mar were the better team. Que se abra o mar's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
