The supporters of Antuérpia SC booed when RACING FBPA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lain Plata didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 12 played minutes Antuérpia SC got a freekick which was hit by João Vítor Castro. In the 13th minute Rigoberto Vilaprenyo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Doriva da Fonseca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Duarte Carneiro made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Luiz Jacinto sent off a good shot on target. In the 19th minute, Luiz Jacinto left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Antuérpia SC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. 23 minutes into the match, RACING FBPA's goalkeeper Duarte Carneiro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aloísio Siqueira. Caetano Cordeiro hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. In the 25th minute, Gregorio Indar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rigoberto Vilaprenyo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Doriva da Fonseca read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. When the match clock showed 40 minutes, the score became 2-3 when Jorginho Campidelis sped through Antuérpia SC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Doriva da Fonseca. Rigoberto Vilaprenyo struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Doriva da Fonseca didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for RACING FBPA. After a rather tough play, Antuérpia SC's Aloísio Siqueira got a free kick in the 45th minute.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jorginho Campidelis to strike the kick off in the second half. RACING FBPA's Duarte Carneiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luiz Jacinto in the 52nd minute of play. Luiz Jacinto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Duarte Carneiro having to interfere. Rigoberto Vilaprenyo went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led RACING FBPA's Fabrício Suárez to fire away a dangerous shot which Doriva da Fonseca despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Gregorio Indar kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Antuérpia SC made a substitution. Andrézinho Souza replaced Aloísio Siqueira. After 66 played minutes Antuérpia SC got a freekick which was hit by Gregorio Indar. Jonathan Borges kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Caetano Cordeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Duarte Carneiro came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by Antuérpia SC's Luizinho de Toledo. But to his dismay, Luizinho de Toledo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-3. Rigoberto Vilaprenyo scored 3-4 in the 75th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Doriva da Fonseca, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Caetano Cordeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jorginho Campidelis in the 83rd minute of play forced Antuérpia SC's goalkeeper Doriva da Fonseca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 85th minute Luiz Jacinto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Duarte Carneiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
