The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Jorginho Campidelis received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Gil Fontes came out and tried to block the shot, but Jorginho Campidelis slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 3rd minute. Percy Quirino charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Percy Quirino the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Percy Quirino hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Gil Fontes was a little too slow when Rigoberto Vilaprenyo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 11th minute. The score was now 2-0. Rigoberto Vilaprenyo took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gil Fontes. Gil Fontes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. A collision led to RACING FBPA getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Fabrício Suárez hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Rigoberto Vilaprenyo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Gil Fontes. That made the score 4-0 in the 20 minute of play. Max Scholl fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Duarte Carneiro having to interfere. Salvador Futebol Clube's Gil Fontes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Salvador Futebol Clube from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Salvador Futebol Clube booed when RACING FBPA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lain Plata didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cássio Porto kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Max Scholl recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. RACING FBPA's Rigoberto Vilaprenyo got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A sloppy throw-in by Inácio Garcia in the 40th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by RACING FBPA's Lain Plata. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 6-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jorginho Campidelis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rigoberto Vilaprenyo in the 55th minute of play forced Salvador Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Gil Fontes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Percy Quirino was shown his second yellow card after 56 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 62nd minute, Rigoberto Vilaprenyo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The RACING FBPA fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 7-0. When the match clock showed 68 minutes, the score became 8-0 when Jorginho Campidelis sped through Salvador Futebol Clube's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Gil Fontes. Rigoberto Vilaprenyo took the ball and in the 70 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gil Fontes. Gil Fontes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 9-0. Gil Fontes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rigoberto Vilaprenyo in the 76th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jorginho Campidelis in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gil Fontes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match had gone on for 84 minutes, Rigoberto Vilaprenyo put it in 10-0 from a short distance just to the right of Gil Fontes. Gil Fontes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rigoberto Vilaprenyo went, in the 88th minute, to the upper right corner, 11-0 was the resulting score. After some careless play in the Salvador Futebol Clube defense, Rigoberto Vilaprenyo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gil Fontes. The Salvador Futebol Clube fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gil Fontes should have stopped the shot. Salvador Futebol Clube's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
