Conrado Basualdo's late challenge caught a Itajaí Football Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Conrado Basualdo helped the player get up and apologised. Conrado Basualdo hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. 龙桑傲 could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Marcelo Galvão made a huge save. Marcelo Galvão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from 龙桑傲 in the 21st minute of the match. In the 24th minute, Joachim Beckers hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Afonso Severo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Théodore Robillard read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. Hugo Ramos took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marcelo Galvão. A well-hit corner resulted in Gilberto Arce heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. In the 45th minute Marcelinho de Salles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Théodore Robillard saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Conrado Miranda in the 47th minute of play forced Trem das Onze's goalkeeper Théodore Robillard to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

In the 89th minute, Itajaí Football Club's Conrado Miranda ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Théodore Robillard. Théodore Robillard yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3. Théodore Robillard made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Afonso Severo sent off a good shot on target. Théodore Robillard made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Eduardo da Costa in the 94th minute of play. 95 minutes into the match, Trem das Onze's goalkeeper Théodore Robillard had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Conrado Miranda. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Itajaí Football Club walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
