Rolando Favila dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Gianluigi Buffon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sérgio Machado was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 14 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Apocalipse FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 13th minute. Penalty! Apocalipse FC's Gianluigi Buffon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zé Augusto da Costa in the 23rd minute of play. Igor Sanches hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Jailson Sousa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rolando Favila having to interfere. A collision led to Treze CG getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Zé Augusto da Costa hit a great ball. Murilo de Toledo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gianluigi Buffon having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Jailson Sousa made the kick off in the second half. If Ruy Tinoco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Zé Augusto da Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Treze CG's supporters rose to their feet, but Zé Augusto da Costa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gianluigi Buffon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ruy Tinoco's late challenge caught a Treze CG's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ruy Tinoco helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Apocalipse FC getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Ruy Tinoco hit a great ball. In the 75th minute, Igor Sanches hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Murilo de Toledo got free with Gianluigi Buffon in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Apocalipse FC's Nico Alcântara in the 82nd minute got a chance for a shot 82nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Treze CG's goalie prevented a goal. Igor Sanches got his second yellow card in the match during the 84th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 83rd minute of the game. One of Treze CG:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Apocalipse FC:s goal. Treze CG:s Rolando Favila showed great skill when he stopped Marcos Rodrigues:s penalty. After 88 minutes, Zé Augusto da Costa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Treze CG and the Apocalipse FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Zé Augusto da Costa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
