The corner led to Operario EC's Antônio Carlos Toscano getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. With a little luck, Santos da Bahia Fc's Bala Mole got control of the ball when Charles Silva tried to sneak it across the goal line. Hernani Marquez showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Geovani Linares made a kick off. Operario EC's Amedeo Ronca proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Operario EC from getting a goal against them. After 55 played minutes Santos da Bahia Fc got a freekick which was hit by Cléberson Gonçalves. 56 minutes into the match, Operario EC's Luiz Fabiano Rosado sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bala Mole narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 59 minutes into the match, Hernani Marquez notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Santos da Bahia Fc's Bala Mole. Bala Mole was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience thought a goal was coming when André Albuquerque got free with Amedeo Ronca in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 66 minutes into the match, Charles Silva had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bala Mole. Santos da Bahia Fc's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Charles Silva was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. If Hernani Marquez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. André Albuquerque could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Amedeo Ronca made a huge save. When the match clock showed 73 minutes, the score became 7-0 when Hernani Marquez sped through Santos da Bahia Fc's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Bala Mole. In the 76th minute, Hernani Marquez made a precise shot to the right of Bala Mole. Santos da Bahia Fc's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 8-0. Silvério Lima took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bala Mole. Bala Mole dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 9-0. Silvério Lima fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bala Mole having to interfere. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Operario EC fully deserved thier win.
