The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Afonso Severo ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Itajaí Football Club's Afonso Severo to fire away a dangerous shot which Túlio Silva despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Marcelinho de Salles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Túlio Silva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 9thth minute of the game Marcelinho de Salles who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Toa Toa 4EVER's Túlio Silva was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Nilson Gaspar kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. With a little luck, Toa Toa 4EVER's Túlio Silva got control of the ball when Conrado Miranda tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Conrado Miranda got free with Túlio Silva in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 17 minutes into the match, Toa Toa 4EVER's goalkeeper Túlio Silva had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Conrado Miranda. Toa Toa 4EVER's defense didn't have a chance, in the 17th minute, when Conrado Miranda scored to the left of an out of position Túlio Silva, making the score, 1-0. Marcelinho de Salles scored 2-0 in the 20th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Túlio Silva, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Marcelinho de Salles had several of the Toa Toa 4EVER's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 24 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 3-0 score and a disappointed Túlio Silva as he didn't even see the shot coming. Túlio Silva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcelinho de Salles in the 28th minute of the match. Marcelinho de Salles's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Túlio Silva firmly grabbed it by the left post. Túlio Silva made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marcelinho de Salles in the 33rd minute. Franklin Sá kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. In the 38th minute, Itajaí Football Club's Gilberto Arce dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-0. Conrado Miranda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Toa Toa 4EVER's Denílson Tinoco got a free kick in the 45th minute. Augusto Coelho charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Augusto Coelho the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 48 played minutes Toa Toa 4EVER got a freekick which was hit by Augusto Coelho.

The wind increased when Augusto Coelho made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Itajaí Football Club booed when Toa Toa 4EVER was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristian Salgado didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 59th match minute, Toa Toa 4EVER was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristian Salgado to maneuver through the defense. Gilberto Arce sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Toa Toa 4EVER's Denílson Tinoco got a free kick in the 64th minute. In the 65th minute, a hard, long distance shot from Afonso Severo hit the top of the crossbar and flew over the goal. If Gilberto Arce had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Conrado Miranda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Túlio Silva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Túlio Silva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilberto Arce in the 77th minute of the match. Túlio Silva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Eduardo da Costa in the 81st minute of play. 82 minutes into the match, Itajaí Football Club's Conrado Miranda sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Túlio Silva narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Nilson Gaspar kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Gilberto Arce kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. When Conrado Miranda came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Itajaí Football Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Conrado Miranda couldn't finish the play. Conrado Miranda might have been able to make a better finish in the 89th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Túlio Silva. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Conrado Miranda ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Toa Toa 4EVER's Augusto Coelho got a free kick in the 93rd minute. 96 minutes into the game, Itajaí Football Club's Carlos Eduardo da Costa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Túlio Silva made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Itajaí Football Club had played much better football throughout.
