When Afonso Severo came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Itajaí Football Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Afonso Severo couldn't finish the play. But to his dismay, Leonardo Varela quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. 41 minutes into the game, Leonardo Varela recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jefferson Gonçalves. Leonardo Varela showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 7-0. 46 minutes into the game, Marcelinho de Salles lined in a short shot 8-0 behind a frustrated Jefferson Gonçalves. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 8-0 at half-time.

52 minutes into the match, Rubens Abreu notched a goal, 9-0, to the right of Operario EC's Jefferson Gonçalves. Jefferson Gonçalves was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Jefferson Gonçalves came out of the goal in the 54th minute to try and stop a shot by Itajaí Football Club's Leonardo Varela. But to his dismay, Leonardo Varela quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 10-0. After some careless play in the Operario EC defense, Rubens Abreu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jefferson Gonçalves. The Operario EC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jefferson Gonçalves should have stopped the shot. Leonardo Varela took the ball and in the 66 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jefferson Gonçalves. Jefferson Gonçalves dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 12-0. In the 70th minute, one of Operario EC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Operario EC. Afonso Severo placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Jefferson Gonçalves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcelinho de Salles in the 73rd minute of play. Jefferson Gonçalves didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rubens Abreu went, in the 92nd minute, to the upper right corner, 15-0 was the resulting score.
