ATlético C.M.'s Patrick Breckenfeld proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save ATlético C.M. from getting a goal against them. ATlético C.M.'s defense didn't have a chance, in the 17th minute, when Zézinho Marquez scored to the left of an out of position Patrick Breckenfeld, making the score, 1-1. In the 23rd minute, Antônio de Almeida got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 龚松川 in the 25thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Patrick Breckenfeld, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After a rather tough play, Botafogo's Douglas Peixoto got a free kick in the 28th minute. Frank Marquez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manoel Lago having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Narciso Leão during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Botafogo's Narciso Leão got a free kick in the 31st minute. Frank Marquez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 35 minutes into the match, Botafogo's 龚松川 sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Patrick Breckenfeld narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Zézinho Marquez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 39 minutes into the match, 龚松川 had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Patrick Breckenfeld. ATlético C.M.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that 龚松川 was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Douglas Diniz during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Botafogo's 龚松川 took a good shot, in the 47th minute, which hit the crossbar above Patrick Breckenfeld's head, and flew over the goal. ATlético C.M.'s manager was very thankful on the sidelines as his team had managed to keep the ball out of the net after some serious pressure by Botafogo. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
Manoel Lago made a fantastic save in the 51st minute, when Valdomiro Recife sent off a good shot on target. After 57 played minutes ATlético C.M. got a freekick which was hit by Federico Dayam. In the 58th match minute, ATlético C.M. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valdomiro Recife to maneuver through the defense. 龚松川 blasted a shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Patrick Breckenfeld having to make a save. Patrick Breckenfeld made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 龚松川 in the 59th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Frank Marquez in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Manoel Lago prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Narciso Leão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in ATlético C.M.'s zone, 龚松川 stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Patrick Breckenfeld came out of the goal and 龚松川 tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Valdomiro Recife received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Manoel Lago tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When ATlético C.M.'s Frank Marquez in the 70th minute got a chance for a shot 70th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Botafogo's goalie prevented a goal. In the 76th minute 龚松川 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Patrick Breckenfeld saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 81 played minutes ATlético C.M. got a freekick which was hit by Douglas Diniz. Patrick Breckenfeld took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 龚松川, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Patrick Breckenfeld showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Narciso Leão in the 86th minute of the match. In the 86thth minute of the game 龚松川 who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ATlético C.M.'s Patrick Breckenfeld was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Radu Carabulea hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Elias Freitas took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 89th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Manoel Lago. Botafogo's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 91 minutes into the match, ATlético C.M.'s goal looked a bit too open when 龚松川 came free, but Patrick Breckenfeld reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 龚松川 recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Botafogo were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing ATlético C.M. to leave the ground with a draw.
