Inazuma Japan's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Guaberto Elodio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. 47 minutes into the game, Caio Neiva was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Inazuma Japan's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Taurus Assoc. de Futebol the free kick. In the 47th minute, Caio Neiva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-2 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Adilson Ramalho was the one to do the kick off.
