The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Noel Melo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adilson Ramalho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zé Vieira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match clock showed 20 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Rui Silva sped through Patro F C's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Noel Melo. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rui Silva in the 28th minute of play forced Patro F C's goalkeeper Noel Melo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 33rd minute, Rui Silva ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Noel Melo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Cesinha Vides blasted a shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Zé Vieira having to make a save. Cesinha Vides was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 44th minute. Patro F C's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Noel Melo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adilson Ramalho, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute.

The wind increased when Adilson Ramalho made the kick off in the second half. After having played for 55 minutes, Cesinha Vides managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Patro F C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cesinha Vides was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fernando Vargas in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zé Vieira saved Inazuma Japan from getting behind. Patro F C's Noel Melo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adilson Ramalho in the 59th minute of play. Betão Valle kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rui Silva in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Noel Melo prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
