Noel Melo had in the 3rdth minute some difficulties stopping Basílio Ribeiro's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 3 minutes into the game, Taurus Assoc. de Futebol's Basílio Ribeiro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Noel Melo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 11 minutes into the game, Bernabe Herencia was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Patro F C's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Taurus Assoc. de Futebol the free kick. Bernabe Herencia hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Gustavo Marinho's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Noel Melo was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. In the 17th minute of the match Taurus Assoc. de Futebol got a corner. Patro F C's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Basílio Ribeiro ran over to the corner to take the kick. Noel Melo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gustavo Marinho, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Patro F C's Noel Melo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gustavo Marinho in the 22nd minute of play. Taurus Assoc. de Futebol were awarded a corner in the 23th minute after Patro F C's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Basílio Ribeiro took the corner. In the 26thth minute of the game Gustavo Marinho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Patro F C's Noel Melo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 27th play minutes Gustavo Marinho shot 0-2, a short shot which went by Noel Melo and just under the crossbar into goal. Guaberto Elodio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Noel Melo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 35 minutes, Gustavo Marinho put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Noel Melo. 38 minutes into the match, Gustavo Marinho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Noel Melo. Patro F C's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gustavo Marinho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustavo Marinho in the 42nd minute of play forced Patro F C's goalkeeper Noel Melo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 45 minutes into the match, Patro F C's goal looked a bit too open when Gustavo Marinho came free, but Noel Melo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half Taurus Assoc. de Futebol were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gustavo Marinho to make the kick off. Elivélton Saldanha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Noel Melo having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Elivélton Saldanha managed to get in a good position for a shot. Taurus Assoc. de Futebol's supporters rose to their feet, but Elivélton Saldanha was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Noel Melo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 59th minute the ball was on its way in behind Patro F C's goalkeeper Noel Melo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 61 minutes into the match, Elivélton Saldanha notched a goal, 0-5, to the right of Patro F C's Noel Melo. Noel Melo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Gustavo Marinho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 67th minute of the match Taurus Assoc. de Futebol got a corner. Patro F C's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Basílio Ribeiro ran over to the corner to take the kick. 69 minutes into the match, Patro F C's goalkeeper Noel Melo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gustavo Marinho. In the 70th minute, Gustavo Marinho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Noel Melo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-6. In the 73rd minute, Guaberto Elodio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gustavo Marinho's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 77thth minute, Noel Melo skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When Betão Valle fell near the penalty area in the 78th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Patro F C's protests and gave Betão Valle a yellow card for diving instead. In the 78th match minute, Patro F C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Betão Valle to maneuver through the defense. After 82 played minutes Patro F C got a freekick which was hit by Sílvio Luís Dracena. Gustavo Marinho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 87thth minute of the game Gustavo Marinho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Patro F C's Noel Melo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Noel Melo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gustavo Marinho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 94th minute Guaberto Elodio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Noel Melo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the final whistle sounded Taurus Assoc. de Futebol left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Patro F C.
