The Caatiba MZC fans' excitement grew in the 4th match minute when Caatiba MZC's Niceto Ihazintu looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Didi de Moraes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodriguinho Linhares in the 9th minute of the match. Ergo Muro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tassos Koutsoubos in the 10th minute of the match. Claudinei Peixoto took the ball and in the 13 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ergo Muro. Ergo Muro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. In the 16thth minute of the game Claudinei Peixoto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Caatiba MZC's Ergo Muro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 25th minute, Niceto Ihazintu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Didi de Moraes was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Tassos Koutsoubos scored 2-2 in the 28th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ergo Muro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Niceto Ihazintu in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Didi de Moraes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match had gone on for 39 minutes, Niceto Ihazintu put it in 3-2 from a short distance just to the right of Didi de Moraes. Didi de Moraes didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 42nd minute, which inside left pole to 4-2. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-2 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Claudinei Peixoto made a kick off. Tassos Koutsoubos might have been able to make a better finish in the 50th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ergo Muro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tassos Koutsoubos ran back to his position shaking his head. Niceto Ihazintu scored 5-2 in the 52nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Didi de Moraes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Bergamim F.C.'s Tadeu Esteves got a free kick in the 54th minute. Claudinei Peixoto's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 57thth minute, Ergo Muro skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Bergamim F.C.'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Tassos Koutsoubos in the 58th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claudinei Peixoto in the 61st minute of play forced Caatiba MZC's goalkeeper Ergo Muro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Caatiba MZC booed when Bergamim F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonidas Alejo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 64th minute Rodriguinho Linhares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Didi de Moraes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 64 minutes into the match, Rodriguinho Linhares had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Didi de Moraes. Caatiba MZC's Ergo Muro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tassos Koutsoubos in the 71st minute of play. Tadeu Esteves made in the 72nd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Leonidas Alejo. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claudinei Peixoto in the 74th minute of play forced Caatiba MZC's goalkeeper Ergo Muro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tadeu Esteves's late challenge caught a Caatiba MZC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tadeu Esteves helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Caatiba MZC booed when Bergamim F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tadeu Esteves didn't get a good kick on the ball. 77 minutes into the match, Bergamim F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Niceto Ihazintu came free, but Didi de Moraes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Didi de Moraes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Niceto Ihazintu in the 78th minute of play. In the 78th minute Niceto Ihazintu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Didi de Moraes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 80 played minutes Caatiba MZC got a freekick which was hit by Valdomiro Ortiz. Miguel Lizer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lando Guazo in the 87th minute of play forced Caatiba MZC's goalkeeper Ergo Muro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the Bergamim F.C. players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Caatiba MZC.
