In the 6th match minute, Bergamim F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Angelo Loureiro to maneuver through the defense. 6 minutes into the match, Bergamim F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Sandro Mandrak came free, but Didi de Moraes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Örjan Björkdahl might have been able to make a better finish in the 8th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Didi de Moraes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Örjan Björkdahl ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 11th match minute, PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ademar Rodrigues to maneuver through the defense. John Osomo was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Tassos Koutsoubos. In the 16th minute Claudinei Peixoto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but John Osomo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 23 minutes into the match, PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ's goalkeeper John Osomo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Claudinei Peixoto. PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ's John Osomo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ from getting a goal against them. In the 29th minute of the match PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ got a corner. Bergamim F.C.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Sandro Mandrak ran over to the corner to take the kick. PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ's Ademar Rodrigues was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Didi de Moraes in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Francisco Aparecido hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. In the 36th match minute, PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Örjan Björkdahl to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Claudinei Peixoto in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg John Osomo saved PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ from getting behind. Claudinei Peixoto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without John Osomo having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ademar Rodrigues to make the kick off. In the 59th minute, PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ's Ademar Rodrigues dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. Ademar Rodrigues recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 66th minute Lando Guazo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but John Osomo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. John Osomo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tassos Koutsoubos in the 71st minute of the match. Bergamim F.C. were awarded a corner in the 73th minute after PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Tassos Koutsoubos took the corner. Bergamim F.C.'s Hélio Lucas was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but John Osomo in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. John Osomo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claudinei Peixoto in the 76th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lúcio Garcia during the 81st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 81st minute, Lúcio Garcia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. John Osomo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claudinei Peixoto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. John Osomo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claudinei Peixoto in the 84th minute of play. Örjan Björkdahl recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
