In the 43rdth minute of the game Vitinho de Barros who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Palmeiras's Régis de Queirós was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Falcão Novaes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Vitinho de Barros stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the game, Falcão Novaes recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Régis de Queirós. Cambotinha EC's Claudinho Azevedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iustin Bungeanu in the 60th minute of play. In the 62nd minute Iustin Bungeanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claudinho Azevedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 65 minutes, Régis de Queirós successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post.
