Miau Stars's Abdulkadir Eraslan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save Miau Stars from getting a goal against them. Miau Stars's Ronaldo Fenomeno got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 7th minute Ronaldo Fenomeno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Richard Fontes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Miau Stars's Abdulkadir Eraslan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Miau Stars from getting a goal against them. Kenneth Knutsson scored 0-1 in the 11th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Richard Fontes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 15th minute, Ronaldo Fenomeno ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Richard Fontes was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Richard Fontes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ronaldo Fenomeno, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronaldo Fenomeno in the 28th minute of play forced Sumaré Sport Club's goalkeeper Richard Fontes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Miau Stars's Abdulkadir Eraslan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Miau Stars from getting a goal against them. Ronaldo Fenomeno might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Richard Fontes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ronaldo Fenomeno ran back to his position shaking his head. Richard Fontes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronaldo Fenomeno in the 30th minute of play. Abdulkadir Eraslan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sebastian Brun in the 32nd minute of play. Ronaldo Fenomeno might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Richard Fontes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ronaldo Fenomeno ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronaldo Fenomeno in the 33rd minute of play forced Sumaré Sport Club's goalkeeper Richard Fontes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ronaldo Fenomeno blasted a shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Richard Fontes having to make a save. Ronaldo Fenomeno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Richard Fontes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronaldo Fenomeno in the 44th minute of play. Richard Fontes came out of the goal in the 46th minute to try and stop a shot by Miau Stars's Flavinho Sousa. But to his dismay, Flavinho Sousa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. After the first half Miau Stars were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Zé Trigo to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Severo Gomesano in the 54th minute of play forced Miau Stars's goalkeeper Abdulkadir Eraslan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Richard Fontes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ronaldo Fenomeno in the 55th minute of the match. 57 minutes into the match, Sumaré Sport Club's goalkeeper Richard Fontes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ronaldo Fenomeno. When Miau Stars's Ronaldo Fenomeno in the 60th minute got a chance for a shot 60th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sumaré Sport Club's goalie prevented a goal. Abdulkadir Eraslan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sebastian Brun, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Flavinho Sousa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Richard Fontes having to interfere. Abdulkadir Eraslan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sebastian Brun in the 73rd minute of the match. In the 75th minute Miau Stars were awarded a corner. Marco Veremundo went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Sumaré Sport Club's goalie and right to Jean-Claude Van Damme. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Sumaré Sport Club's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. In the 78th minute Sebastian Brun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abdulkadir Eraslan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Sumaré Sport Club booed when Miau Stars was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anton Bröms didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sumaré Sport Club made a substitution. Mehmet Oğuz Uram replaced Xu Sha Quan. In the 82nd minute, Anton Bröms hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Janusz Tyszka received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Abdulkadir Eraslan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ronaldo Fenomeno's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Richard Fontes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. In the 90th minute Zé Trigo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abdulkadir Eraslan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sumaré Sport Club's Richard Fontes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ronaldo Fenomeno in the 94th minute of play.
